Short answer: a good corporate knife gift is a folding pocket knife with your logo on the blade and the person's name or start year on the other side, in a box that looks like it was meant to be handed over. Budget around $90 to $135 a head for a Damascus folder, mix models if different people have different jobs, and order engraved runs by late November if they need to arrive before the holidays. Everything below is how to get that right the first time.
Why a knife works as a company gift
Most corporate gifts have a half life of about a week. The branded mug goes to the back of the cupboard, the hoodie goes to the gym, the gift card gets spent on groceries and nobody remembers who paid for it. A good knife is the rare company gift that people carry, use and keep. It sits in a pocket or on a desk for years with your logo on it, which is a better return than most marketing budgets get.
It also says something a mug cannot. A hand forged blade reads as a serious thank you, the kind you give for ten years of service, a retirement, a deal that closed or a team that got through a hard year. That is exactly why it should be chosen with some care, because a cheap stamped knife with a sticker logo says the opposite.

Corporate knife gift ideas, by occasion
Holiday gifts for employees
For a whole team at the end of the year, the folding pocket knife is the default for good reasons. It is legal to carry in most places, it fits every job from the warehouse to the boardroom, and it engraves cleanly. The Fallen is our best selling folder, a 3 inch Damascus blade with a rosewood handle at $90, and it also comes as a ready set of six for $432, which works out to $72 a knife. The Taipan at $106 is the slimmer option with a pocket clip for people who carry every day.
Client gifts
For a client you want to keep, give something they would not buy for themselves and engrave their name, not yours. Your logo can go on the other side of the blade or on the box. The Queen Snake, a Damascus pocket knife with a stag antler handle and a leather sheath at $134, rated 4.97 from 30 reviews, is the safe pick for most clients. For a client who cooks, or a restaurant and hospitality account, the Yukio Damascus chef knife at $113 lands better than any pocket knife.
Desk gifts for people who will never carry a knife
Not everyone in an office wants a blade, and a company gift should not make anyone uncomfortable. For those people, a hand forged pen does the same job without the edge. The Forge Quill is a handmade luxury pen with a Damascus steel body at $109, rated 5.0. Copper, brass and steel versions sit between $105 and $122. Mixing pens and knives in one order is perfectly normal.
Years of service awards
Service awards are where engraving earns its keep. The blade carries the name and the years, the box carries the company. Match the knife to the milestone rather than giving everyone the same thing: a folder at five years, a fixed blade with a leather sheath at ten, something properly special at twenty five. The Dragon, a 12 inch Damascus bowie at $149 with 43 reviews, makes a strong ten year piece. The Chihuahuan Snake gut hook at $165 is our single best selling knife, with 220 sold, and suits anyone who hunts.
Retirement gifts
A retirement gift should look like something worth keeping on a shelf for the next twenty years. Pearl shell handles do that well. The Celestial Pearl Damascus pocket knife is $245. For a long career that deserves more, a handmade Damascus katana such as the Onyx Crane at $609 is the kind of present people talk about at the party. Closing gifts and partner thank yous
Real estate agents, brokers, lawyers and contractors often give a closing gift. A knife engraved with the address or the date of the deal is far more personal than a bottle of wine, and it does not get drunk by Saturday. For a buyer who just got land or a ranch, a bull cutter such as the Amber Drover at $109 suits the setting exactly.
Corporate knife gifts by budget
| Budget per person | What fits | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Under $100 | Damascus folders, ready sets of six | Fallen, $90, or $72 each in a set of six |
| $100 to $150 | Clip folders, chef knives, luxury pens, bull cutters | Queen Snake, $134 |
| $150 to $250 | Hunting knives, bowies, pearl shell pocket knives | Chihuahuan Snake, $165 |
| Over $250 | Swords, tomahawks, collector pieces for executives and retirements | Onyx Crane katana, $609 |
These are our retail prices. Orders of ten pieces and up move onto wholesale pricing, which is quoted rather than published because it depends on the model, the steel, the handle and the engraving. The tiers are below.
How many knives, and what it costs at volume
The count is the total number of pieces in the order, not one of each model. You can mix models freely, with a minimum of five pieces per style. So a 50 piece order can be ten styles at five each, or five styles at ten each. That matters for company gifts, because the sales team and the warehouse team rarely want the same knife.
| Tier | Pieces in the order | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Sample | 1 to 9 | Check the steel, edge and finish in hand before you commit |
| Starter | 10 to 24 | Wholesale pricing begins, logo engraving on the whole order |
| Growth | 25 to 99 | Better tier pricing, mixed models in one order |
| Volume | 100 to 499 | Custom packaging, a dedicated production slot, staged delivery |
| OEM | 500 and up | Full private label and custom design |
The structure is indicative and the exact price comes on your quote. The wholesale and custom logo page has the inquiry form, and the wholesale buying guide explains minimums and margins in detail if you are buying for resale rather than gifting.
Logo engraving: what to send and what to expect
Send your logo as a vector file if you have one, an SVG, AI, EPS or PDF. A high resolution PNG on a plain background works if that is all there is. Before a single blade is engraved you get an artwork proof to approve, so the logo is checked at the real size on the real knife rather than guessed.
Keep the design simple. A logo built from thin lines and small type at the bottom of a letterhead will not survive being shrunk onto a blade. A bold mark, a monogram or the company name in one strong typeface reads cleanly for decades. For personal text such as a name or a start year, twenty characters is the practical limit and half of that usually looks better. The engraving guide shows what fits where.
A common and good setup is the logo on one side of the blade and the person's name on the other. It turns a bulk order into thirty individual gifts without thirty separate designs.
Order by these dates for the holidays
Engraved runs need more time than plain knives, because every piece is engraved by hand in our shop before it is finished and boxed. For the holidays, order an engraved set of four or more by around 25 November, and a single engraved knife by around 4 December. Plain catalogue knives held in stock usually leave in one to three business days. Larger runs get a confirmed date on the quote rather than a hopeful one. The full calendar is in the Christmas knife gift guide.
Three things to check before you give knives at work
Company policy. Some workplaces do not allow knives on site, and some people simply do not want one. Check with HR first, and offer a pen or a kitchen knife as the alternative so nobody is left out.
Where people live. Knife laws differ between states and cities. A folding pocket knife with a blade around three inches is the safest choice for a group spread across the country, which is one more reason it is the default corporate pick.
The handover. Every knife ships in a presentation box, and fixed blades come with a fitted leather sheath. Tell the person what it is and why they are getting it. A knife handed over with a sentence about ten good years means more than one left on a desk with a sticky note.
Questions people ask
What are good corporate gifts for employees?
A gift people keep and use. An engraved Damascus pocket knife is one of the few company gifts still in use years later. Give a pen or a kitchen knife to anyone who would rather not carry a blade, and check workplace policy first.
How much should a company spend on an employee gift?
For a holiday gift to a whole team, $70 to $110 a head buys a hand forged Damascus folder, and a set of six of our Fallen folders works out to $72 a knife. Service awards and retirements usually step up from there.
Can you engrave our company logo on the knives?
Yes. Send a vector logo and you approve an artwork proof before production. The logo can go on the blade, with a name or date on the other side, and branded inserts and custom packaging are available on larger orders.
What is the minimum order for corporate knife gifts?
There is no minimum to buy at retail. Wholesale pricing starts at ten pieces in total, and you can mix models with at least five of each style. Custom packaging comes in at one hundred pieces.
Is a knife an appropriate gift for a client?
For most clients in trades, outdoors, hospitality, real estate and industry, yes, and it is remembered far longer than wine. For a client in a setting where blades would be out of place, a hand forged pen carries the same craft without the edge.
How long does a corporate knife order take?
Plain catalogue knives in stock usually ship in one to three business days. Engraved and larger orders get a confirmed date on the quote. For the holidays, order engraved sets of four or more by around 25 November.
Do the knives come gift boxed?
Yes, every knife arrives in a presentation box, fixed blades come with a fitted leather sheath, and shipping inside the US is free. Branded inserts and custom boxes can be added on larger runs.
Where to start
