Each block of resin is poured and stabilized by hand, then ground and polished flat so the honeycomb cells finish under a glass smooth surface. Because every block is poured on its own, the cell pattern and the order of the colours move around from one knife to the next, and two knives out of the same batch never come out identical.

What you are buying
Blade. 1095 and 15N20 forge welded to 352 layers, heat treated and hand finished in house, then acid etched so the pattern stands up under the light. Three inch blade, 7.25 inches open, 4.25 inches closed.
Handle. Stabilized honeycomb resin over a Damascus bolster with a brass liner. The resin is waterproof, it will not shrink or crack, and it takes a fingerprint far less readily than a polished natural handle.

Why no two handles match
This is the part people write in about, so it is worth being blunt. The photographs on each product page show what the material looks like, not the exact scales that will arrive. You get the same model, the same size, the same build and the same honeycomb resin, but your handle runs its colours in its own order. If you need two knives that look like a matched pair, order them together and say so in the order notes and we will pick the closest blocks we have.
Buying one as a gift
Most of these leave the shop as gifts, and the walnut box is why they land well. Nothing needs wrapping, nothing needs a box ticked at checkout, and the knife arrives looking like a present rather than hardware. Questions people ask
Is the rainbow printed on the handle? No. It is poured resin, so the colour runs all the way through the block. A printed handle wears off at the corners and the pattern repeats. This one does neither.
Is the blade real Damascus? Yes, forge welded from 1095 and 15N20 rather than laser etched on stainless. The nickel in 15N20 resists the acid etch, which is what gives the layers their contrast. Will mine look like the photograph? It will be the same knife and the same material, with its own arrangement of colour. Read the paragraph above before ordering if that matters to you.
