Black Mamba’s luxury pens apply the same forging and finishing work that goes into our knives to something you can carry into a boardroom. Each barrel is turned from hand-forged Damascus steel and acid etched to bring out the fold pattern, then paired with a smooth-writing refill and a machined clip. The weight and balance are closer to a machined tool than a plastic pen, and like our blades no two patterns are identical.

Why a Damascus pen. It carries the same collector appeal as a Damascus blade in an object that is legal and appropriate everywhere – offices, flights, meetings. For knife collectors who cannot carry a knife to work, it is the obvious companion piece.

What refill does it take? Standard Parker-style ballpoint refills, which are inexpensive and available worldwide.

Does the Damascus need care? Some. The barrel is high-carbon steel, so hand oils will patina it over time. Many owners like that, but a wipe with a dry cloth and an occasional light oiling keeps the etch crisp.

Does it make a good gift? It is one of our most requested gift items for retirements, graduations and groomsmen, and it arrives in a presentation box with a certificate of authenticity.

Can it be engraved? Yes – contact sales for personalised engraving before you place the order.

A damascus steel pen is the same layered, hand-forged steel as our blades, turned into something you can carry into a meeting. Each damascus pen is etched so the pattern runs the length of the barrel – a writing instrument and a small piece of forge work in one.
