Most of what we make is forged in small batches, and some of it does not exist until you order it. That means a short wait — and a knife that was made for you, not pulled off a pallet.
Expedited shipping to the US is free. Always. We ship worldwide too.
How long before it leaves the shop
We do not mass produce. That is the whole point — and it is the reason for every number on this page.
- In stock → ships in 2–3 business daysIt is finished, inspected and waiting. We box it and it goes.
- Out of stock → your order goes On hold and we start forgingYour order is the trigger. It sits at On hold while the knife is being made — that is normal, and it does not mean anything is wrong with your payment.
- Made-to-order production takes 2–3 weeksForging, shaping, finishing, inspection. When it moves to production the status changes and you get an email. Then it ships.
Why we do it this way: you get a freshly crafted blade instead of something that sat in long-term storage. Certain models sell out fast precisely because we will not cut that corner.

Expedited shipping anywhere in the US is on us. No minimum spend, no code to enter. In a hurry? Priority is $25 and brings it down to 2–3 business days.
Tracking details are emailed to you automatically the moment your order ships. No need to chase us for them.

I typed the wrong address at checkout
Contact us immediately. If the order has not been dispatched yet, we will update the shipping details for you. Once it is with the carrier, our hands are tied.
My order says “On hold” — is something wrong?
No. Your payment went through and your order is safely in the queue. On hold is simply the stage before your knife reaches the bench. Because every piece is finished by hand we work through orders in turn, and made-to-order knives sit here while they are being forged — usually 2–3 weeks. The moment your knife moves into production the status changes and you get an email, followed by a tracking link when it ships. Nothing is needed from you in the meantime.
My tracking has stalled or the package is late
Get in touch and we will work with the carrier to sort it out. We do not control postal delays, but we do not leave you to fight them alone either.
I am outside the USA — will I pay extra?
Possibly. Customers outside the USA may owe import duties, taxes or customs fees. These vary by country, are set by your government, and are not included in the product price.
How do I get an update on my order?
Use the live chat on the site, or email sales@blackmambaknives.com. Include your order number and we will come back to you quickly.
Can I still return it?
Stock knives, yes — within 7 days, unused and in original packaging. Custom and engraved knives are one of one, so they cannot be returned. Full detail on our warranty & returns page.

We ship from Memphis to the rest of the world
Every Black Mamba knife is hand forged in Memphis, Tennessee and posted from the same shop it was made in. Wherever you live, you can order. There is no country list to check first and no separate site for buyers outside the USA.
One shop, one origin
Your order does not pass through a middleman or a drop ship warehouse. It is packed and handed to the carrier in Memphis by the same people who forged it. That holds for an order going to Dallas and for one going to Dubai.
Who carries it once it leaves us
Orders inside the USA travel on our expedited service, which is free on every order, or on Priority if you want it sooner. International orders go out with UPS or FedEx, so you get a tracked service with a real scan history instead of a parcel that vanishes for three weeks.

Customs, duties and taxes
Anything that crosses a border can attract import duty or tax. That charge is set by your own government, not by us, and it is not included in the price you pay here. Couriers usually collect it before they hand the parcel over. If you want the figure before you order, your national customs website is the only place that can give it to you accurately.
Knife law where you live
Blade law is local and it changes. Fixed blades, folders and balisongs are treated differently from one country to the next, and sometimes from one state or province to the next. Please check what you are allowed to import and own before you order. We cannot advise on the law in your country, and a parcel held by customs is not something we can recover.
Tracking, wherever it is headed
Tracking is emailed the moment the parcel is scanned out of the shop, whether it is going two states over or across an ocean. If the tracking stops moving, write to us and we will chase the carrier with you.

Do you really ship to any country?
Yes. Checkout is open to every country. If your address will not go through, that is a form or carrier problem rather than a policy one, so email us and we will sort it out.
Where does my order actually ship from?
Memphis, Tennessee. Every knife is forged and finished there and posted from the same address.
Will I see the international shipping cost before I pay?
Yes. Put the knife in your cart and enter your country at checkout. The rate appears before the payment step and nothing is added afterwards.
Is international shipping tracked?
Yes. International orders travel with UPS or FedEx and the tracking number is emailed to you.
Who pays the import duty?
You do, if your country charges it. The courier normally asks for it before delivery. We cannot pay it for you and we cannot mark a parcel as a gift.
