About what we make
1. Are Black Mamba knives handmade?
Yes. Every Black Mamba knife is individually handcrafted by skilled artisans. Because we do not mass-produce our blades, some models sell out. If an item is unavailable we begin crafting it immediately, and production takes 2–3 weeks before it ships.
2. Are your knives made in the USA?
Yes. Black Mamba knives are hand-crafted in Memphis, Tennessee, using forged metals and high-quality materials chosen for durability and beauty. Full story on our Country of Origin page.
3. What makes Black Mamba knives different?
Every knife is fully handmade, individually forged, built from high-grade steels and finished with artistic detail rather than pushed through a production line. They are designed for collectors, hunters, chefs and everyday carry, and built to be handed down.
4. Can I request a custom knife?

Getting it to you
5. How long does shipping take?
In-stock items ship within 2–3 business days. Made-to-order knives take 2–3 weeks to craft before they ship. Once posted, standard US delivery runs 3–5 business days and Priority 2–3. International delivery varies by country.
6. How much is shipping?
Expedited shipping within the USA is free, with no minimum spend and no code to enter. Priority shipping in the USA is $25. International shipping is calculated at checkout. Full detail on our Order & Shipping page.
7. Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Rates and timelines are calculated at checkout based on your destination. Customers outside the USA may owe import duties, taxes or customs fees, which are set by your government and are not included in the product price.
8. My order says On hold. Is something wrong?
No. Your payment went through and your order is in the queue. On hold is simply the stage before your knife reaches the bench, and made-to-order knives sit there while they are being forged. You will get an email the moment it moves into production, and a tracking link when it ships. Nothing is needed from you.
9. How can I check my order status?
Use the live chat on our website, or email [email protected] with your order number. We are happy to update you on crafting progress, timelines and tracking details.
10. Do you ship balisong (butterfly) knives?
We ship balisongs across the US and internationally, but the buyer is responsible for their own local law. Several US states and a number of countries restrict or ban butterfly knives, and rules change — please check the law where you live before ordering. Balisong orders are packed and shipped with the same care as everything else we send. If a package is refused or seized by customs or local authorities, we cannot refund the shipping.

11. How does engraving work?
We offer engraving on most knives for a flat $29 fee, covering initials, names, dates or a short message of up to 20 characters. The engraving option sits on the product page directly above the Add to Cart button. For a logo, place the order with engraving selected, then email your artwork and order number to [email protected]. To request a specific typeface, write the font name alongside your text. 12. Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Unused, non-custom knives can be returned within 7 days of delivery in their original packaging. Engraved and custom-made knives are one of one, so they cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or do not match the design you approved. Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility unless the problem is our fault.
13. What if my knife arrives damaged?
Tell us within 48 hours of delivery and include photos or video of the issue. We will review it and offer a repair, replacement or refund. Shipping damage reported after 48 hours cannot be claimed.
14. Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. Every knife carries a free lifetime craftsmanship warranty. It never expires, it costs nothing, and covered repairs or replacements are carried out free of charge. It covers manufacturing defects, incorrect assembly and structural faults in the forging, handle attachment or fitting. It does not cover misuse, improper sharpening, rust from poor maintenance, normal wear or third-party modifications. Full terms on our Warranty & Returns page.
15. How does the rewards program work?
Our tier-based programme gives lifetime discounts based on how much you have bought. Each tier comes with a physical card and a permanent discount code, and higher tiers unlock bigger discounts, early access to limited-edition knives and, at Damascus level, a complimentary custom knife. 16. Do you offer wholesale or bulk orders?
Yes. We offer wholesale pricing, logo engraving and private label production, and we have delivered corporate runs of 200 to 400 knives. Contact our sales team for a quote, or see the Wholesale page.
17. What is the best way to look after my knife?
Keep the blade clean and dry, oil Damascus and carbon steel regularly, sharpen with the correct tools and store it in a dry place or its sheath. Never put a knife in the dishwasher. Our Safety & Storage Tips page covers this properly.
