What separates a real gift knife from a gift shop knife
Most knives sold as gifts are stamped from sheet steel, given a pattern that was printed rather than forged, and priced on packaging. Ours are forged mostly from our own billets, ground and heat treated in the same building, and hardened to 58 to 60 HRC. That last number is the one that matters and the one nobody else prints. It is the difference between a blade that holds an edge for a season and one that goes dull on the second cardboard box.

What is the best knife gift for a man? A three to three and a half inch folding pocket knife, in a steel he can sharpen, with his name or initials on it. It is the one knife almost every man will actually carry, and the engraving is what turns it from a tool into something he keeps.
Are knives a good gift for men? They are one of the few gifts still in weekly use a decade later, which is more than can be said for most of what gets bought. The two things to get right are size and steel: go smaller than you think, and pick stainless if his hands are ever wet.
How much should I spend on a knife as a gift? Between $100 and $200 buys a properly forged knife with a real heat treat and a leather sheath. Below about $60 you are usually buying packaging rather than steel.
Can you engrave a knife as a gift? Yes. Up to 20 characters, added as a paid option at checkout, with a proof sent before anything is cut. A name, a date, initials or a short line all work. Longer lines get small and lose their impact.
What knife should I buy for someone who does not own one? A locking folder around three inches with a plain drop point blade. It is legal in most places, it does almost everything, and it teaches him what he actually reaches for before anyone spends more.
How long does a personalised knife take to arrive? Two to three business days to ship for an unengraved knife in stock, and around two weeks if it is being engraved. If you have a date, tell us and we will say straight away whether it can be met.
