Description
Alpine Turquoise is the dress folder of the collection. Pure white buffalo bone scales with a band of turquoise set across the centre of each side, every fitting in solid brass down to the pocket clip, and a hand-forged Damascus drop point running the length of it. White, brass and turquoise, and nothing else.
Underneath the materials it is a properly built folder: a steel liner lock, phosphor bronze washers on both sides of the pivot, and a thumb stud you open by hand. No spring, no flipper — just a pivot fitted well enough that it does not need one.

Built for: everyday carry in a bag or pocket, opening and trimming, travel, and gifting. This is the one people notice.
Care: Damascus is high-carbon steel and will spot if it is put away wet — wipe the blade dry and keep a light film of oil on it. Buffalo bone is natural: keep it out of prolonged sun and standing water and wipe rather than soak. The turquoise is stone, so avoid knocks against hard edges. Put a drop of light oil on the pivot once or twice a year and check the body screws are snug.
FAQs
Is this knife spring assisted?
No — and that is deliberate. There is no spring and no flipper. You open it with the thumb stud, by hand. What makes it feel quick is the pivot: phosphor bronze washers on both sides of the blade, hand-fitted so the action stays smooth and consistent. A manual knife is also legal in far more places than an assisted one.
What is a liner lock and is it secure?
One side of the steel liner is cut so it springs across behind the blade tang when the knife is fully open, blocking it from closing. To shut it you push the liner aside with your thumb and fold the blade. It is the standard lock on quality folders because it is strong, simple and easy to work one-handed.
Is it sharp out of the box?
Razor sharp. Every blade is hand sharpened and stropped before it is boxed.
Does it come with anything?
Yes — a hand-stitched white leather slip pouch, made in the shop to fit this knife closed. A pouch rather than a belt sheath, which suits a folder that lives in a bag or pocket.
Is this only for women?
No. It is built on a slimmer, shorter frame that suits smaller hands and lighter carry. Buy it on the measurements, not the label.
Is the buffalo bone ethical? Is it related to ivory?
Entirely ethical and entirely unrelated to ivory. It is a by-product of the water buffalo meat industry and involves no protected or endangered species.
Will my knife look exactly like the photograph?
No. Bone and turquoise are natural materials and every Damascus billet etches into its own pattern, so the shape and build will match but the character will be unique to your knife.
