Stagwedge is the most worked-on piece in the range. The T-grip is built up from genuine stag antler at both ends with a walnut centre block between them, separated by thin white spacers and capped with a solid brass bolster — five pieces of material in a handle most makers cut from one. Above it sits a hand-forged Damascus spear point.
It is a real knife, not a display model: double-edged with a centre fuller, full tang through the grip, both edges sharpened by hand. Antler is also one of the most secure grip materials there is, wet or cold.

Care: Damascus is a high-carbon steel and will spot or patina if it is put away wet. Wipe both edges dry after every use and keep a light film of mineral or camellia oil on the blade, which also keeps the etched pattern crisp. Stag antler and walnut are natural materials: keep them out of prolonged direct sun and standing water, wipe rather than soak, and work in a little mineral oil once or twice a year. The brass will darken to a warm patina over time; polish it if you prefer it bright. Do not store the knife inside the leather sheath for long periods.

What is a push dagger?
A short double-edged blade set at ninety degrees to a T-shaped handle. The grip sits across your palm with the blade between your middle and ring fingers, so the force comes from the whole arm rather than the wrist. It is the most secure way there is to hold a small blade — it cannot twist or be pulled out of the hand.

Check before you order. Push daggers are restricted or prohibited in a number of US states and cities, and in many countries outside the US, more tightly than ordinary fixed blades. Laws vary and change. It is the buyer’s responsibility to confirm local law before purchase or carry.
Is the leather sheath included?
Yes. The tan leather sheath with a brass stud shown in the photograph is moulded to this blade. It ships with the knife at no extra cost.
How do I sharpen a double-edged blade?
Treat each edge separately, keeping the same angle on both sides of each bevel, and work from the ricasso to the point in short sections. A small stone or ceramic rod is easier than a full bench stone on a blade this size.
Can I actually use a Damascus blade, or is it for show?
Use it. The pattern comes from forge-welding different steels together; the finished blade is hardened, ground and sharpened like any other. It simply asks to be kept dry and lightly oiled.
Where does the stag antler come from?
Antler is shed naturally every year and collected from the ground — it is not taken from the animal. It is an ethical by-product, and it is why every handle has its own colour and texture.
Will my knife look exactly like the photograph?
No. Antler, walnut and hand-etched Damascus all vary piece to piece. Your Stagwedge will share the shape, dimensions and build shown, but it will be a one-off.
