Description
Snowburl is the brightest knife in the range. A D2 spear point taken to a full mirror polish sits against a T-grip of pale stabilised burl — cream shading into amber, with the knots and eyes of the burl running right through it. Bolted rather than pinned, so the handle can come off for cleaning.
Double-edged with a centre fuller, both edges ground and sharpened by hand. The T-grip crosses the palm, which is what gives a four-inch blade this much authority in the hand.

Care: D2 is a semi-stainless tool steel — highly rust resistant but not rust proof. Wipe the blade dry after use and oil it lightly before long storage. A mirror polish shows fingerprints more than satin — a soft cloth keeps it bright. Stabilised burl is resin-impregnated and far more stable than raw wood, but it is still wood: wipe it clean and wax it once or twice a year. Check the handle screws are snug now and then. Do not store the knife inside the leather sheath for long periods.
FAQs
What is a push dagger?
A short double-edged blade set at ninety degrees to a T-shaped handle. The grip sits across your palm with the blade between your middle and ring fingers, so the force comes from the whole arm rather than the wrist. It is the most secure way there is to hold a small blade — it cannot twist or be pulled out of the hand.
⚠ Is a push dagger legal where I live?
Check before you order. Push daggers are restricted or prohibited in a number of US states and cities, and in many countries outside the US, more tightly than ordinary fixed blades. Laws vary and change. It is the buyer’s responsibility to confirm local law before purchase or carry.
Is the leather sheath included?
Yes. The tan leather sheath with a brass stud shown in the photograph is moulded to this blade. It ships with the knife at no extra cost.
How do I sharpen a double-edged blade?
Treat each edge separately, keeping the same angle on both sides of each bevel, and work from the ricasso to the point in short sections. A small stone or ceramic rod is easier than a full bench stone on a blade this size.
How good is D2 for a small fixed blade?
Very good. D2 runs around 58–60 HRC and holds an edge far longer than the stainless most small knives use. It is semi-stainless rather than fully stainless, so keep it dry.
What is stabilised burl?
A burl is the knotted growth on a tree trunk where the grain has grown in on itself, giving swirling figure instead of straight lines. Stabilising forces resin through it under vacuum so it will not crack, swell or absorb moisture — the look of burl with the toughness of a synthetic.
Will my knife look exactly like the photograph?
Close, but not identical — burl figure and colour differ on every handle.
