Description
Olive Sidewinder is the most hand-filling bull cutter in the line. The olive green Micarta is not flat-slabbed like the others — it is sculpted into deep finger grooves that lock the knife into your palm, so it stays put with wet hands, cold hands or gloves on. Above them the high carbon blade is stonewashed to a soft matte grey with no glare in it at all.
The grind is a working cowboy bull cutter: a deep, square-nosed sheepsfoot with a full 3.5 inch straight edge, a blunt tip that will not dive when you cut against hide, rope or sacking, and a notched choil for choking right up to the blade.

Built for: livestock and stockyard work, harvest and barn chores, cutting twine, hide and feed sacks, hunting camp, and everyday belt carry — especially if you work in gloves or in the wet and want a grip that will not move.
Care: High carbon steel is not stainless. Wipe the blade dry after every use and keep a light film of mineral or camellia oil on it. The stonewashed finish will grey into a patina over time — that is the steel protecting itself, not damage, and new scratches blend straight into it. Micarta washes with soap and water. Check the handle screws are snug now and then, and do not store the knife inside the leather sheath long term.
FAQs
What do the finger grooves actually do?
They index your hand. Instead of gripping a flat slab, your fingers drop into set positions, so the knife cannot slide forward or rotate under load — which matters most exactly when it is hardest to hold: wet, bloody, cold or gloved.
Carbon steel or D2 — which should I pick?
Carbon steel takes a keener edge and is far easier to touch up in the field on a simple stone. D2 holds its edge longer and resists rust better. If you sharpen your own knives and do not mind wiping a blade dry, carbon is the more satisfying steel to own.
What is a stonewashed finish?
The blade is tumbled with abrasive media, leaving a soft grey surface with a fine random texture. It throws no glare, and marks from real work disappear into it rather than showing as bright scratches.
Will my knife look exactly like the photograph?
Very close. Micarta is a manufactured material so the olive green is consistent, though the pattern where the sculpting cuts through the layers varies slightly on every handle, and each blade tumbles a little differently.
Is the leather sheath included?
Yes. The black leather belt sheath with brass rivets shown ships with the knife at no extra cost.
