That mass comes from solid liners and a thick blade stock. The upside is a knife that feels dense and does not flex when you push through cardboard or rope. The downside is real: in a dress trouser pocket it drags the fabric, and it is noticeably heavier than a slim gentleman’s folder. If weight in the pocket is your first concern, this is not the knife.
Blade shape and what it will not do
A short drop-point profile with a fair amount of belly slices well and pierces adequately.
