Description
Nightspike is all business. A hand-forged Damascus spear point with a fileworked ricasso, set square into a black G10 T-grip with a thin red line of liner showing at the edge of each scale. The etch is dark, the handle gives nothing back to the light, and the whole thing disappears under a jacket.
The blade is double-edged with a centre fuller, ground on both sides and sharpened by hand. Held correctly the grip crosses the palm and the blade sits between the fingers, so the knife is driven by the arm rather than the wrist — the reason this pattern has never really been improved on.

Built for: collectors, display, and lawful everyday carry where the pattern is permitted. Read the legality note below before ordering.
Care: Damascus is a high-carbon steel and will spot or patina if it is put away wet. Wipe both edges dry after every use and keep a light film of mineral or camellia oil on the blade, which also keeps the etched pattern crisp. Micarta and G10 need almost nothing — soap and water and they are done. Do not store the knife inside the leather sheath for long periods.
FAQs
What is a push dagger?
A short double-edged blade set at ninety degrees to a T-shaped handle. The grip sits across your palm with the blade between your middle and ring fingers, so the force comes from the whole arm rather than the wrist. It is the most secure way there is to hold a small blade — it cannot twist or be pulled out of the hand.
⚠ Is a push dagger legal where I live?
Check before you order. Push daggers are restricted or prohibited in a number of US states and cities, and in many countries outside the US, more tightly than ordinary fixed blades. Laws vary and change. It is the buyer’s responsibility to confirm local law before purchase or carry.
Is the leather sheath included?
Yes. The black leather sheath with a brass stud shown in the photograph is moulded to this blade. It ships with the knife at no extra cost.
How do I sharpen a double-edged blade?
Treat each edge separately, keeping the same angle on both sides of each bevel, and work from the ricasso to the point in short sections. A small stone or ceramic rod is easier than a full bench stone on a blade this size.
Can I actually use a Damascus blade, or is it for show?
Use it. The pattern comes from forge-welding different steels together; the finished blade is hardened, ground and sharpened like any other. It simply asks to be kept dry and lightly oiled.
Will my knife look exactly like the photograph?
No. Every Damascus billet is folded and etched by hand, so the pattern differs on every blade. Your knife will share the shape, dimensions and build shown, but the steel will be its own.
How tough is Micarta?
Extremely. Micarta and G10 are layered canvas or fibreglass set in resin: they will not swell, crack, warp or rot, they shrug off water, oil and solvents, and the texture grips better when wet.
