Description
Wild Fern is the bushcraft one. Deep forest green canvas Micarta on bolted hardware, a D2 drop point tumbled to a stonewashed grey that throws no glare, and a white sheath stitched in green. Everything on it is chosen to survive being used rather than looked at.
The stonewash is practical as well as good-looking: scratches from real work blend straight into the finish instead of showing as bright lines, so the knife still looks right after a season outdoors.

Built for: bushcraft, camping, hiking and foraging, plus everyday carry. The bolted scales come off if you ever want to strip and clean the handle.
Care: D2 is a semi-stainless tool steel — highly rust resistant but not rust proof. Wipe the blade dry after use and oil it lightly before long storage. Micarta needs almost nothing — soap and water and it is done. Check the handle screws are snug now and then. Keep the white leather sheath out of prolonged wet and do not store the knife inside it for long periods.
FAQs
Is this knife only for women?
No. It is built on a smaller handle with a lighter, thinner blade, which suits smaller hands and lighter carry — a lot of people prefer that regardless. Buy it on grip size and blade length rather than on the label.
Is the white leather sheath practical?
Yes. It is full-grain leather, hand stitched and moulded to this blade. Like any pale leather it will mark and mellow with handling; most owners think that improves it. Keep it out of prolonged wet and it will last for years.
Is the blade full size and full strength?
Yes. Smaller does not mean lighter duty — same steel, same heat treatment, same hand sharpening as every other knife we make. It is a small knife, not a toy.
What is a stonewashed finish?
The blade is tumbled with abrasive media, leaving a soft grey surface with a fine random texture. It throws no glare, and marks from use blend into it instead of standing out.
How tough is Micarta?
Extremely. Micarta is layered canvas set in resin: it will not swell, crack, warp or rot, it shrugs off water, oil and soap, and the woven texture actually grips better when your hands are wet.
Why a drop point?
The spine curves down to the tip, so the point stays strong and low and the edge keeps a long useful belly. It is the shape that does the most jobs well — slicing, food prep, cordage and light game work.
