What the teeth are for
The sawtooth run is thumb purchase. Put your thumb on the spine for a controlled push cut and the teeth stop it sliding forward, which is the moment most cuts to the hand happen. It is aggressive on this model, deliberately so, because a shallow jimping pattern does nothing through a glove.
Carrying it clipped
